Deanos Jalapenos are the newest and most unique snack food available in the universe. The" Jalapeno Chip" was first inspired at The Cactus Café in Stowe, VT by chef owner Doehne (aka Deano) Duckworth. After many years in the kitchen working with all kinds of hot chile peppers, it occurred to him that everyone was trying to make their potato chips taste like jalapenos. Why not just use a real jalapeno!
They use the freshest jalapenos available, shipped daily from Texas and New Mexico. Their cheddar coating has just the right flavor to enhance the flavor of the jalapeno, which gives it a nice finish to the chip. Once again there are no potatoes used in Deanos Jalapeno Cheddar Chips. The jalapeno chips are at what "we" call a medium heat level, although each batch is a little different depending on mother nature.
